Troy Regional Medical Center is a 97-bed licensed facility serving a five-county area with a patient population of approximately 55,000. The hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
The hospital complex includes three medical office buildings and a child health center, providing a full range of health care services in one location. Medical services include Cardiology, 24-hour Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Obstetrics, Gynecology, Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Neurology, Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, Pathology, Pediatrics, Podiatry, Radiology, Sleep Disorder Studies and Urology. Surgical services include General and Orthopedic Surgery, using the latest in Laparoscopic and Laser Surgery techniques. In addition, the medical center offers Home Health Services, Social Services, complete Physical Therapy Services and Community Education Programs, including Safe Sitter and Childbirth Education classes.
The city of Troy combines the atmosphere of a family centered “small town” with “big city” advantages, offering excellent educational opportunities and a highly rated recreational program for children. Located only two hours from the Gulf of Mexico and the white sandy beaches of northwest Florida, Troy is within easy driving distance of Montgomery, Atlanta, Dothan, and Panama City.
The city is home to Troy University, a Division I school and its beautiful 500-acre campus. The Troy University Arboretum includes over 300 different species of trees, as well as a 2.5-mile nature trail that winds along the four-acre Mullis Pond. Troy’s historic district
offers 13 antebellum homes and a beautifully restored downtown square.
For both the hunter and the angler, southeast Alabama is a sportsman’s paradise, with thousands of wooded acres and hundreds of ponds and lakes.
Located on 407 acres of land, the 45-acre Pike County Lake is a beautiful setting for picnicking, swimming and fishing. Other favorite fishing spots in the area include L & L Lake, Lake Simmie and Lake Lagoon.
The Troy Sportsplex offers a state-of-the-art softball facility, two basketball gymnasiums, two racquetball courts, a gymnastics facility, indoor pool, outdoor pool, overhead walking track, and more. Children love the facility’s playground, which offers an incredible array of water play activities.
